<lj:music>Even Angels Fall--Jessica Riddle</lj:music>

Heath Ledger as The Joker and Ryan Phillippe as Two-Face? ...I don't like it. I don't like it at all.

I mean, let's face it. Batman Forever was hardly the greatest film ever, but Tommy Lee Jones was PURE GENIUS as Harvey Dent. And I am endlessly amused by Jim Carrey as The Riddler. And it's a work of art when compared to the atrocity that was Batman and Robin. And Jack Nicholson was an excellent Joker in the original movie.

Batman Begins undid the damage that Batman and Robin did to the franchise, in my opinion. Why then must they screw up with the casting in the sequel? I mean, I'll try to go into it with a neutral view... but I just don't see the casting working well. I mean, granted, Heath Ledger has a Joker-esque smile... but past that? I just don't see it. And aside from Cruel Intentions, I've never really liked Ryan Phillippe in anything. Meh.

But who knows. I could be wrong. It could be another excellent film. But at present? I'm not impressed. At least Katie Holmes isn't coming back. That does give it some Brownie points.

The new one, with Rob Lowe as Ben Mears.

There are SO MANY glaring mistakes. 'Salem's Lot is one of my favorite books of ALL TIME. And yet, whenever it comes on TV, I can't turn it off.

*headdesk*

I keep getting mad and yelling at the TV because of all the mistakes. Like when I watch a soccer game, just completely negative rather than mixed reactions. ^^; But seriously. It's extremely aggravating. (In which case, it's a drunken football fan song... but you get my point.)

The name is England
The very same
The ones who gave
The world this game
The name is England
How do you do?
Forgive me asking
Please remind me
Who are you?
Forgive me asking
Please remind me
Who are you?

E - N - G - L
A - N - D
That spells "courageous"
That spells "free"
That name will keep
Our spirits up
It's on our shirts
It's on our hearts
It's on the Cup
It's on our shirts
It's on our hearts
It's on the Cup

The name is England
We're here to thrill
We've got the players
We've got the will
We've got the talent
We've got the skill
We've got to pick up
Something special
From Brazil
We've got to pick up
Something special
From Brazil

The name is England
A big "hello"
To all the nations
From Becks and Co.
But first of all
A big "goodbye"
To Trinidad
To Sweden
And to Paraguay.
To Trinidad
To Sweden
And to Paraguay.

Good morning Deutschland
Our dear old friend
We'll do our best
Not to offend
But there's no need to
Get in a fix
We promise, honest,
Not to mention sixty-six

That's sixty-six
Yes, sixty-six
When good old Hursty
Showed you his tricks
But of that final
You'll hear no more
That's sixty six
When you scored two
And we scored four
That's sixty six
When you scored two
And we scored four

Lampard, Gerrard
Beckham, Cole
Every one
Can score a goal
The Cup is ours
You must admit
Especially if
Wayne Rooney's fit

The name is England
We will not stop
Until we get
Right to the top
To win a Cup
Is why we're here
If not at football
Then we'll beat you
Drinking beer
If not at football
Then we'll beat you
Drinking beer

You can listen to it and download it here. It's quite catchy. In fact, it gets stuck in my head quite easily. *snerk* But it's funny, so it's alright.

Someone, please enlighten me.

WHY is Aladdin listed among Entertainment Weekly's 25 most controversial movies?

I mean, it's ranked up there with things like The Passion of the Christ, The Da Vinci Code, Fahrenheit 9/11... What is so controversial about Aladdin? o_O I've sat here and tried to think like some nutters wackadoo... and I just don't get it! What on earth is wrong with Aladdin?

If I had to pick a Disney film to be controversial, I probably would have picked The Hunchback of Notre Dame, simply because it's a kid's movie, but you've still got Frollo singing about his lust for Esmeralda and how she should burn in hell. But... ALADDIN?! OMGWTFGUMMIBEARS?! O_o

Go Terry, it's your birthday, go Terry, it's your birthday. *dances* Even my mom, who has probably never watched soccer in her life, was cheering with me over that one. XD

I hope the US team was watching this. You see? THIS is what happens when your golden boys get the ball! YOU WIN! Becks set it up, Crouch knocked it in. That's my boys. ^_^ Though, I was highly disappointed at the lack of Crouch Robo-Dance.

I do feel bad for T&T though. I was rooting for them too. Such an underdog story. But... well... HUZZAH FOR ENGLAND!
